Sphagnum Moss
Sphagnum Moss is one of the best humidity holders you can use. Our
Sphagnum Moss now comes from a NEW SUPPLIER. This Sphagnum is the long
fiber Moss and is very CLEAN. Not like the old moss, this is GOLDEN in
color and is easy to work with. It is a good insulator for cages that
require heating mats and has excellent water retention qualities!
Moisture is a must for some pets and the sphagnum moss is a good vehicle
for holding water. To clean it just take and shake out and replace.

Excelsior
Excelsior is natural aspen wood that is formed into long
fibrous
strings. It is used in fruit fly cultures for the adult
fruit flies to
have a surface to climb on, in burrowing
reptile habitats, and as a
bedding material for reptiles and mammals.

Ultra Fine Nymph Excelsior
The ultra fine nymph excelsior is perfect for new nymph
housing. Hundreds of nymphs can perch in a small container, and it is
easy to see the nymphs, as the excelsior is light yellow in color. The
excelsior is non-molding, and a natural wood product with no chemical
additives. The excelsior gives the feeder insects access to the nymphs,
increasing feeding.

Fruit Fly Bottles are a great invention!
I use them for House Fly & Blue Bottle Pupae. I put the amount of pupae
I want to hatch in the bottles and shake them down to the bottom layer,
when they hatch the flies crawl to the upper layer & I just place the
bottle in the feeding hole and the flies walk into the containers just
in time to be dinner! The photo on the right is showing 3 bottles in
three holes, they have a lip which holds itself into the 1 1/2" hole I
drill into the mantis containers! Of course they are also used for
culturing fruit flies! I just find them more useful as feeder bottles!

We have had requests from our customers
to purchase the plastic grid that we us in our ultimate mantis nursery & cup o flies. The grid has 5/16” holes, and
comes in 9” by 12” squares, can be cut with scissors, is washable, and
flexible enough to fold to get it into containers.

The best way to attaché flowers and climbing limbs to your
enclosures is to use
this low heat Glue Gun. A high heat glue gun, will leave the glue
sticky, which
is dangerous for insects getting stuck in the glue. Make sure for adding screens,
flowers, sticks and anything else inside the insects container you use
the Low Heat Glue Gun!
The Higher the number the smaller the holes. The #
10 will hold in large Hydei fruit flies, the # 14 will hold in
Melanogaster fruit flies! The # 7 holds in House flies, and the # 5
holds in Blue Bottle flies. 8
different size sheets, 4 different sized holes for keeping feeder
food inside containers!

"NoSeeUm" Micro Mesh Fiber Glass Insect Screen
NoSeeUm Insect Screen in Charcoal, weave is a tight 20 x 20. This Screen is used for keeping the tiniest insects out of your house, tent, patio. We use it to keep the tiny Melanogaster inside the Mantis containers. Most window screening do not keep these tiny insects inside where you want them. It is a fiberglass material and will not rust, is easy to clean, and strong.
