The
Mantis Round Nursery is a 6.75 inch diameter
insect cup that is 5.5 inches in height. We drill a hole
in the lid which fits
a small foam stopper to facilitate feeding and
misting without taking the lid off. This will
reduce escapes and crushes
of your nymphs
and feeder insects.
We also include
Humidity Foam to hold moisture to
keep the humidity levels up,
and
Ultra-Fine excelsior
which is an aspen wood product that can be used to give
the feeder insects a climbing
surface to get closer to the nymphs which
regularly hang from the lid.
Each
Mantis Round Nursery
comes complete with the
pre-drilled Cloth lid, 6.75
inch diameter x 5.5 inch
high insect cup, the small sponge stopper,
Humidity Foam and
Excelsior.

The Mantis Hexagon Nursery is 20% bigger than the round nursery, with the ultra fine excelsior and humidity sponge, this is the perfect size for 50-100 nymphs
Ultimate Mantis Nursery $16.95 12" wide X 7" deep X 10" tall
The Ultimate Mantis Nursery is a 12” wide, 7” deep, and 10” tall hexagon, 60% larger than the regular Mantis Hexagon Nursery. The lid is one of the angled sides of the hexagon so you can stack the nurseries without impeding airflow. There are three holes cut in the container, one in the lid, one up high for feeding one in the bottom side for misting on the moss without spraying directly on the majority of the nymphs. The holes have foam stoppers in them, and they provide extra airflow to the container. In the middle of the hexagon, a bamboo grid supports the extra fine excelsior above the sphagnum moss. You may lower or raise this grid if you want more or less upper space. The ultra fine excelsior is light yellow colored, making it easy to see the nymphs, and it gives them hundreds of perches. The lid is plastic and has been perforated with holes for added ventilation that are small enough to contain the smaller fruit flies. The top panel of the hexagon has plastic grid for nymphs to hang for molting. It’s the best!
