This is a beautiful mantis, the female has a pretty saddle as her wings only extend half way down her back, they are a ready eater and are not timid at all. Given room to explore they like to wander. Found in Africa, This species is kept as a pet only and can not be released in the U.S. They are a medium to large mantis reaching almost 3". Colors are a blue green to brown. The container suitable for them is the Medium Cave or the Meduim Hexagon.
