Native to the U.S. the ground mantis is small and quick, reaching around 1 1/2". Colors are usually dark to mimic the dark earth, pebbles and twigs on the ground. They are Canada's only native mantis. This species is aggressive when looking for food and a delight to watch. Use a small to medium hex or round for this mantis.
